Word, Masterpiece of Human Imagination

In my meetings with neuroscientists for the series The creation of the world | I. The generation of the human soul one of the most fascinating points for me was discovering the phenomenon of the human brain that creates consciousness, which in turn produces the word that shapes the brain.

The light that creates the existing

Language does not directly reflect reality but expresses our view of facts.
I would go further: Language is the flickering beam of light, ignited by our consciousness, to allow us orientation in the world and primary contact with each other. Unlike a torch beam, however, it not only reflects the existing but creates it. This beam calls the world around us into existence, naming it. At the same time, it shapes us, forming our consciousness and our brain, chiselling the source from which it emits.

Language depends on consciousness; it is an expression of it, but the converse also holds: consciousness depends on language; it is created by it.
