I agree completely about the need of usefulness for the output. And I think there are really so many different kinds of writers. For being sincere: much of the output in blogs and posts is kind of trivial. It is not by chance that AI systems are booming, JUST for the sake of generating output.

If, however, your need is to distil, to create, to produce high-level writing, you need to have high-level input. And here, quantity simply does not equal quality.

From what you say, I would think you are looking for high-level output, with a clear aim, and with the reader in mind. And I totally agree that the way you are describing is a very valid way to go.
